  5. The Chainware Accounts Receivable module is a comprehensive credit management
  6. system which provides flexible control over a variety of financial
  7. arrangements the retailer may have with his customers.  Open item, balance
  8. forward, and revolving charge account methods are available.  In addition, the
  9. system handles layaways and performs invoicing.  Unique customer account types
  10. can be specified on the system, each having different terms and payment
  11. discounts.  In combination with the Point-of-Sale module, these customer types
  12. can also determine purchase discounts which will occur automatically.  In
  13. chain environments, any chain customer can make a charge purchase, payment, or
  14. account inquiry at any store.  Account data can be polled from each site
  15. daily, then updated at headquarters, and provided back to the remote site
  16. during the next download.
